Emmy-winning Writer/Director Lee Farber has an extensive background in comedy
television and film. He began his career writing for ABC’s “The Wayne Brady Show”
in 2001. In 2004, Lee revamped the classic show “Talk Soup” into a new iteration
called “The Soup”, writing and Co-Executive Producing the series for 11 years.
During that time, he began directing the many sketches that would gather millions
of views on YouTube. He went on to write and direct pilots for Steve Carell, Conan
O’Brien, MTV and AMC.

Lee's first feature film “The Lonely Italian”, a comedy about online dating which he
wrote and directed, premiered on Hulu in 2018 and was awarded Best Comedy
Feature at the San Diego International Film Festival. Shortly after that, he directed
the filmed segments for “The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale” on Netflix. Lee
then directed Amazon's “This Giant Beast That is the Global Economy” for Will
Ferrell and Adam McKay, starring Zach Galifianakis, Rashida Jones, Ted Danson, and
Jason Sudeikis. In 2021, Lee wrote and directed the hit Discovery series “Expedition:
Back to the Future” starring Christopher Lloyd, Josh Gates, Lea Thompson and
Michael J. Fox. He continued his work on Discovery by directing “Shark Trek”
starring William Shatner, and most recently directed the celebrated series “Tales
From The Explorers Club”.

His commercial career began in 2019, directing the national celebrity comedy
campaign for Stand Up 2 Cancer starring Charles Barkley and Stephen A. Smith.
Since then he has directed national and international campaigns for Coors Light,
ABC/ESPN, PointsBet, Visit Abu Dhabi, and JCPenney, working extensively with
Martha Stewart, Shaquille O’Neal and the team at Authentic Brands.
