The Visionaries-repped director reunites with Omnicom for a playful new spot for McCain's Gastro Chips
McCain's Gastro Chips aren't your average oven chip. They're the gastropub brought into the kitchen - thick, golden and just a little bit indulgent. No wonder, when a couple sit down to eat them, they can't help themselves: "Ooh, fancy." And the room agrees - the family photos animating on the walls, a magazine cover joining in, the whole space bathed in the kind of warm, saturated orange that makes everything feel a bit more luxurious than a Tuesday night normally would.
Rubinstein - on his second McCain's job with Omnicom - is right in his element here. The VFX are seamless, the performances are dynamic, and the whole thing has the kind of light comic touch that's harder to pull off than it looks.

We had some fun cooking this up for McCain, this is the second product ad I’ve done for them and it was all about balancing the frame tricks, cosy vibes and fancy fun without going too silly or absurd. A nice little spot for a wholesome brand.
